The adidas Samba ADV Kader Sylla Brown Gum is a shoe designed in collaboration with American skateboarder Kader Sylla that pays homage to his family’s roots in the Ivory Coast.
This version of the Adidas Samba ADV is made with a black brushed leather upper, which forms the toe box and the sides. Dark brown suede overlays form the T-shaped toe cap and run from the top of the laces around to form the heel. The typical Adidas 3-Stripes also appear on each side of the shoe in brown suede, and Kader’s name appears in gold letters on the lateral side. The black tongue features a gold adidas patch, and the heel collar is smooth black leather. The heel is held together by a single seam that boasts stitching in orange, white, and green – the colors of the Ivory Coast flag. A brown gum rubber outsole finishes the design.
Our favorite feature of this shoe is the subtle detailing on the heel that pays homage to the Ivory Coast flag, as it adds extra meaning to the design.
