This is the quintessential vintage Rolex: understated, timeless, and built like a tank. Unlike many vintage watches with unknown histories, this piece comes with provenance. It was professionally sourced, authenticated, and serviced by the highly respected Sonning Vintage Watches (UK) in September 2021. Mechanically Sound: Having been serviced by a specialist in 2021, the legendary Caliber 1570 movement is running strong. You are skipping the immediate need for a €500+ service that most vintage purchases require. Classic Config: The silver sunburst dial with stick indices is the cleanest, most versatile look Rolex ever produced. It pairs perfectly with a suit or a t-shirt. EU Location: Shipping from Portugal. Buyers within the EU pay ZERO customs duties or VAT. CONDITION REPORT: Dial: Original "T Swiss T" silver sunburst dial in excellent condition. All tritium lume plots are present and have aged to a warm creamy patina. Case: 34mm Stainless Steel case. Lugs remain thick and sharp, retaining the classic Oyster profile. Movement: Rolex Caliber 1570 Automatic (Chronometer Certified). This is widely regarded as one of the most robust mechanical movements ever built. Note on Reference: The watch is visually a Ref. 1002 (Smooth Bezel). The dealer paperwork from 2021 lists it as a "1003" (Engine Turned Bezel), which is likely a clerical error on their part or indicates a past caseback swap common in vintage collecting.
